FACILITY:
Competition Pool: One 25-yard pool with
8-nine-foot wide lanes each with competitor
non-turbulent lane markers. Continuous warm-up,
warm-down facilities are available. Colorado
Time System 5 will be used. Balcony spectator
seating is available.
PARKING:
Free parking will be available in the lots
adjacent to Carmel High School. Additional
parking is available north of the pool at the
football stadium (approximately 1/3 mile).
RULES:
Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules
will govern meet. Please pay special attention
to USA Swimming rule 202.3.2 – At a sanctioned
competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members
must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming
member coach during warm-up, competition, and
warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee
shall assist the athlete in making arrangements
for such supervision. The 2004 USA Swimming
Rules and Regulations Book will be the primary
source.
ELIGIBILITY:
Age as of March 12, 2005 will determine age for
the meet. All swimmers must be currently
registered with USA Swimming. These
registration numbers must accompany entry.
There will not be any USA Swimming registration
at the meet. Coaches MUST constantly display
their USA Swimming coach credential to gain deck
access. The meet referee reserves the right to
ask for coach credential display and/or deny
access if coach does not comply
FORMAT:
This is a TIMED FINALS, closed meet, by
invitation only. Carmel Swim Club
reserves the right to limit select events during
all sessions if it is deemed necessary to
complete the session within the requirements of
Indiana Swimming rules. Fees will be refunded
for any swimmer cut from an event due to
timeline management.

ENTRY LIMITS:
Each swimmer will be limited to 5 individual
events. There are no limits on the number of
relays that can be swum. If an individual is
entered in more than 5 events, the entry will be
made by order of events, starting with Event #1
until the limit is satisfied. There will be no
refunds.
DECK ENTRIES:
Deck
entries will be accepted, at the discretion of
Carmel Swim Club, provided the meet is filled
and
ONLY as new additions; changes will not be
accepted. Entry fee for deck entries is $5.00
per event.
ENTRY FEES:
All fees must accompany entry. Please make
check payable to: Carmel Swim Club.

ENTRY INFORMATION:
Enter each swimmer with their full first name,
last name, age and USA Swimming # on the entry.
All times must be completed to the hundredth of
a second and submitted in yard times.
Entries will not be accepted before January
22, 2005. Entries must be delivered by
Email, the US Postal service, or a nationally
recognized courier service. We highly
recommend using email to deliver your entry.
All entries not submitted via E-mail or on
disk will be subject to a $35.00 data processing
fee. Confirmation of entry will be sent
via email. NO HAND DELIVERIES, NO
TELEPHONE ENTRIES AND NO FAX ENTRIES!
The final entry date for entries to be received
is by 6:00 pm, February 26, 2005.
Teams not
accepted will have their entries returned as
soon as possible, but no later than March 1,
2005 via E-mail or US postal depending on form
of entry.
No team entry will be broken.
This meet will be run with the Hytek Meet
Manager program. Diskette entries will be
accepted using the Hytek COMMLINK program (do
not forget to “age up” swimmers).

CLERK OF COURSE:
This meet will be pre-seeded. Lane & heat
assignments will be posted at various points
around the pool. All swimmers will be lined up
at Clerk of Course to help assure that swimmers
do not miss events. We highly encourage coaches
to cover check-in, and meet procedures with
their new swimmers and parents. ABSOLUTELY
NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK.
This is an insurance requirement of USA
Swimming.
RELAYS:
Relay cards must list
the full name of swimmers competing on the relay
(improperly filled out relay cards may result in
the relay failing to swim). Include
alternates if appropriate. Relay cards shall be
returned to the Computer Chair two events before
the relay swims. Relays are assumed to be
swimming unless a coach marks SCRATCH on the
relay card and turns it in to the Clerk of
Course.
FINAL RESULTS:
One complimentary copy will be provided to every
club with five or more swimmers. Extra copies
may be ordered at the meet for $8.00. Final
results will also be posted at the CSC web site
at
www.carmelswimclub.org
AWARDS:
Awards will be given for all individual events
in all age groups, places 1-8.
Awards will not be mailed.

The Carmel Swim Club will need the help of your
USA Swimming Officials. If you have
someone that is in charge of your officials
please provide his or her name and email address
on your entry summary form where requested.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1.
Each team is responsible for its own valuables.
2.
Each coach is responsible for the conduct of his
or her team.
3.
Only swimmers and coaches will be allowed in the
deck area. There are three men’s and three
women’s locker rooms on deck.
4.
An athletic trainer will be available during the
meet.
5.
Each Participating Team must provide 2 adult
volunteer timers per lane per session.
FACILITY NOTE: The Carmel High
School Natatorium is a state of the art facility. It is important that all
people attending this meet, whether it be swimmers, coaches, or spectators,
treat this facility with the utmost care. The following rules will be strictly
enforced:
1)
Keep all trash picked up (swimmers and
teams in particular)
2)
Do not go or let children go, in any
unauthorized areas. This means any place other than the seating areas, or
lobby. Due to USA Swimming insurance requirements only swimmers,
coaches, officials and volunteers are allowed on deck. There can be no
exceptions!
The Carmel Swim Club will have security people
roaming the deck and locker room areas. If any swimmer is caught abusing the
building or facility, they will immediately be asked to leave the meet and will
be barred from further competition.
