Tamara Brown - Head Piranha Coach

Swimming for Carmel Swim Club for 11 years makes Tamara very familiar with the traditions and accomplishments of CSC.  She's now in her fifth year teaching those traditions to the Piranha Group after graduating from IUPUI in May of 2003.  As Piranha coach, Tamara does a great job preparing middle school swimmers for the transition into senior swimming.

At Carmel High School, Tamara swam under Tony Young.  She lettered on four IHSAA Girls State Swim Champions, and was a member of the 1994 team that ranked first nationally.  Swimming for the Carmel Swim Club, Tamara was a State Finalist and Zone Finalist.  Her best events were the 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 Fly, and 200 Breast.

The Carmel High School alum holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fitness and Sport Studies.  Tamara currently works for The Care Group and performs cardiac stress tests for her full-time job.  She works with heart patients as well as the Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis Pacers.
