Terms and Conditions for Participation in the

Carmel Swim Club 2008-2009

  

1.           All families entering into the Carmel Swim Club are members of our family.  We would hope that when questions and concerns arise everyone involved would contact the office 575-8244 for direct answers.

 

2.           The fees involved in the Carmel Swim Club are as follows:

·         Registration fee:  This fee is to help cover the cost of equipment, pool supplies and rental.  This fee must be paid in full.  $165.00

·         Monthly dues:  These dues are based on your swimmer’s group level and are listed on the fees schedule in this packet.  Monthly statements will be mailed to your home on the 1st of each month, from October thru June.  These must be paid by the 15st of the month.  If your account is still outstanding by the first of the following month, your swimmer(s) may be asked to leave the water, and will not be allowed to participate in practice, meets or travel trips.  Please read the “Fee Schedule” and “Information on Payments & Obligations” for exact amounts.

·         USA Swimming registration:  Our “Parent” organization is USA Swimming.  They require that all athletes swimming on a USA Swimming team pay their registration fee.  Currently that fee is $52.00, which includes Indiana Swimming’s portion.

·         Shirt fee: $24.00 per swimmer and each swimmer will receive 3 Carmel Team Shirts to be worn at meets.

·         Meet fees:  For each of the competitions your swimmer enters in there will be fees for each event, including relays, in which they compete.  Fees vary from meet to meet.  These fees will be assessed on your monthly bill.

·         Misc. fees/charges:  There may be other fees/charges which can be accessed throughout the course of the year (i.e. travel  trip expenses, meet fines, etc).  You will be notified in advance what these fees are and what they are for. 

 

3.           Each family is required to sign and return the “Swim Meet Contract” attached in this packet.  Please read the terms of this form carefully. 

 

4.           Each swimmer will be asked to sign a swimmer "Honor Code” which states the expectations and responsibilities of the swimmers as Carmel Swim Club members.

 

5.           All swimmers must swim “attached” to CSC from the first available day until the swimmer leaves CSC.

 

6.             All swimmers competing for the Carmel Swim Club must purchase a Carmel Swim Club bathing suit and the three team shirts (red, white, and blue).  If a swimmer has need for a bathing cap during competition, the three Carmel caps must be purchased.  All swimmers who are 13 and older must purchase a team warm-up from Kast-A-Way swimwear.

 

7.           A place is reserved for your swimmer.  You are committing to join the Carmel Swim Club for one year.  The training fees for the entire year will be paid off in nine months (Oct. thru June). Should a swimmer decide to discontinue participation with the Carmel Swim Club the office must be notified in writing.  The unused portion of the yearly training fees is not refundable and any outstanding entry fees are considered an obligation to the Carmel Swim Club and are payable upon termination of participation. (An exception to this annual obligation will be provided to swimmers in their first year contract with CSC and to all Hammerhead swimmers.)

 

          I understand and agree to the above terms and conditions of the Carmel Swim Club in exchange for the privilege of my child(ren), registered with this form, to participate in the activities and swimming program of the Carmel Swim Club.
