Carmel Swim Club
SWIM MEET CONTRACT
2008-2009
The following conditions are part of your agreement to be a member of the
Carmel Swim Club:

It is the intent of the Carmel Swim Club to
host five meets annually with four of the five meets being championship
meets. The meet schedule is included in this packet and the Carmel Swim
Club hosted meets are listed on this schedule. Please mark them on your
calendar. These meets are fundraisers for the club to help cover the cost
of operations throughout the year. They are an important part of our annual
budget.

All families must work the meets and
triathlon hosted by Carmel Swim Club. The dates
for these meets and triathlon are: November 7-9, 2008 at IUPUI Natatorium,
January 16-18, 2009 at IUPUI Natatorium, March 6-8, 2009 at Carmel HS
Natatorium (Divisional Meet), April 19, 2009 at Carmel HS Natatorium
(triathlon), May 15-17, 2009 at Carmel HS Natatorium, and June 26-28, 2008
at Carmel HS Natatorium. Please
note that you may not have a swimmer competing in the meet, but you are
still required to work these meets.

The “meet volunteer” sign-up will be done
online via the CSC intranet. Sign ups begin one month prior to the start of
the upcoming meet. You will have 2 weeks to sign up to volunteer, and then
the sign up will close. THE MEET COMMITTEE WILL ESTABLISH THE NUMBER OF
SESSIONS EACH FAMILY MUST WORK FOR EACH MEET. The number of sessions
will be emailed to the club and will be posted on the bulletin board outside
of the pool lobby. Each family is required to work one volunteer session at
the triathlon.

At each meet there will be a
registration table for you to "sign in" when you arrive at the pool. This
table is generally located at the Security desk at the bottom of the stairs
at the IUPUI Natatorium or in the lobby toward the locker rooms at CHS. It
is your responsibility to make sure that you have signed in properly, as
well as putting your arrival time. Please write both your name and your
swimmer’s name if the last names are different. There will also be a “head
person” at your station that you should check in with.

If you are not able to work at one or more of
the meets it is YOUR responsibility to find someone to work for you or pay
the fine. You will be assessed a $50.00 fine per session that is not
worked.

If you sign up to work a session and fail to
show up to work that session, you will be assessed $100.00 fine per session.
If you arrive 30+ minutes late for your session, you will be fined and if
you leave prior to the end of your shift you will be fined. We do not want
your money; we need your help during the meets!

Anyone working the meet to satisfy a work
session must be 15 years old and 9th grade or older.
·
US Swimming regulations do not allow
non-swimmers on deck at the meets. Please plan for childcare for your
non-swimmers.
