ability levels. From the inexperienced beginning swimmer all the way up to
the USA Swimming Senior National competitor, everyone has a unique place in the
Carmel Swim Club "family."
REASONS TO JOIN THE CARMEL SWIM CLUB
·
FACILITY: All
Carmel Swim Club members train at the Carmel High School Aquatic Center
located at the northeast corner of the Carmel High School campus. The
facility houses a beautiful state-of-the-art indoor 50-meter by 25-yard pool.
The Carmel High School Aquatic Center hosted the 2000 US Olympic Selection Meet
Time Trials, the 2002 Great Lakes YMCA Zone Championships, the 2002
Northside Conference Championships and IHSAA Women's &
Men's Sectional Swimming & Diving Championships since 2001. The Carmel Swim Club and
the Carmel High School Swimming & Diving teams also regularly host invitational
and dual meets at the facility. It is regarded as one of the finest high
school and community-based swimming complexes in the United States. The Carmel High School
Aquatic Center is centrally-located and easily accessible from many areas.
·
POOL TIME: Carmel Swim
Club practices are typically offered six days a week. This makes it more
convenient for younger athletes involved in other activities and sports to go to
practice on a consistent basis. The Carmel Swim Club coaching staff
encourages supports swimmers who participate in other
activities, especially at a young age. In addition, the coaching staff is
available for occasional one-on-one stroke work and small group clinics. CSC also offers the most convenient practice
times and most practice time in the area, as well as the best swimmer-per-lane and
coach-to-swimmer ratios in the Midwest. The younger groups train with
approximately four swimmers per
25-yard lane, while the older groups train three swimmers per 25-yard lane.
·
COST OF THE TEAM: The
cost to be on the Carmel Swim Club is based upon the group your child is placed
in. The CSC fee structure is very competitive and very affordable with no
hidden costs. Carmel Swim Club offers flexible payment plans that spread
dues and fees evenly over the course of the swimming year. With a professional and experienced
coaching staff, a first-class facility, convenient practice times and excellent
lane space, CSC offers the best value for your dollar of any program in the
area.
·
OTHER THINGS WE OFFER:
The Carmel Swim Club offers coaching excellence and consistency, along with
seven graduated, integrated training groups ranging from novice to elite levels
of swimming. CSC swimmers often benefit from excellent and financially-rewarding college scholarship
opportunities. MOST OF ALL, CARMEL SWIM CLUB OFFERS TEAM SPIRIT & FUN!
·
SWIM EVALUATIONS:
At mid-season, the club offers private tryouts to place your swimmer in the
appropriate practice group. To arrange for a convenient time, please call
the club office at 575-8244 and ask for Chris.
Note:
Tryouts are simply for evaluation and group placement purposes. Almost
every swimmer that attends a tryout and is evaluated is accepted for membership onto
the team, provided the swimmer can swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke. If
a swimmer cannot attend one of the tryout dates, please call the office and we would
be glad to arrange for a private tryout at a time that is convenient to your
schedule. Also, swimmers may start at any time during the season. We
have many swimmers who start once other activities are
completed in the fall.
